What I’ve been doing while avoiding blogging

Well, I started the 365 Project on 1/1 and I’ve kept with it, amazingly well.

I wanted to share some of my favorites while I let some blogging ideas stew in my overworked brain.  I have taken most of them with my iPhone.  I recently upgraded to the iPhone 4.  It comes with a 5 megapixel digital camera.  It’s quite nice.  It’s amazing to me how far cameras on phones have come.  I can now take video, zoom and use a flash.

My hubs got some interesting beads on a trip to NoLa a few years ago.  These have been hanging around.  They’re a little creepy in my opinion.  This was also filtered using the Lord Kelvin filter on the Instagram App for iPhone.

I’ve been pretty busy with the Paranormal Group that I joined in December. We’ve gotten a lot of new cases pursuant to being featured on The Haunted on the Animal Planet. I’ve been reviewing a lot of crazy good evidence lately.  Here is a pic of EVP review. Speaking of photography, a friend has asked me to capture the moment at her second daughter’s baptism this evening.  I’m a little nervous, but I’m sure it will be fine.  Not sure what the rules are about a roving photographer during a church service, but I’ll find out. 

I have also received an email from Nikon that Nikon School will be having seminars in Philadelphia.  I have to do a little research.  It would be awesome to go.  Given I mentioned wanting to take a class, this popped up shortly after.  Hmmmm

Reflection

Lately,  I have been thinking a lot about the things that I want to do with my life.  Not necessarily work-related things, but things that I would like to do that would make my life more fulfilling.  Not just the every day work, home, eat, sleep that normally happens…

I really want to take a photography class. I’m going to start looking at classes at a local design school.  They have evening and weekend classes for continuing education and they seem relatively affordable.  Some day, I may even be able to call myself an artist - a photographer.

Funky Tuesday

I have neglected my blog for a while. I've been in a funk. After the holidays, begins the dark part of the year for me.

I spend several months just a little out of step with the rest of the world. I long for the sun, the sweet smells of a spring morning, and warmer weather. I eagerly await spending more time outdoors, planning the garden with hubs and strolling through the nursery.

There is so much hope when spring comes. It's like a promise of better days ahead. The thawing of a cold and dead season brings the reward after long months spent huddled under blankets. (A little dramatic much?)

Yes, winter is pretty, but we've already established that I'm sick of it.

Hubs and I were asked to accompany our close friends on a trip to the wine country of Virginia, in March. I can't wait. Hopefully the weather is as nice as the last time we were there. It was the same time if year when we last visited, two years ago. We had a great time and brought lots of wine home. Expect a lot of pictures.

I hope this end of winter break is just what I need to get me out of this funk. I'm tired of whining and I'm sure you're tired of hearing about it.
